Senior Scholarship Awards |
| From 2006 the Trustees
have decided to offer enhanced awards for Postgraduate Research.
This new form of financial support will be known as a Whitworth
Senior Scholarship Award. This new award will be open to existing
Whitworth Award Holders and Whitworth Scholars and other eligible
candidates. Conditions of eligibility will be the same as for
the Whitworth Scholarship Awards, except that a degree-level
programme will have already been completed. |
| Purpose |
Available for Postgraduate Research. (For
Postgraduate Research leading to a PhD or EngD). The
new award is open to existing Whitworth Award Holders and Whitworth
Scholars and other eligible candidates. Conditions of eligibility
will be the same as for the Whitworth Scholarship Awards except
that a degree-level programme will have already been completed.

| Value |
Up to £7,500 p.a. for a maximum period
of three years.
The Award may be held concurrently with
other forms of financial support (except with any other Whitworth
Award). |
